Many motorists could already be feeling the benefits of owning an AA credit card.

Many motorists could already be feeling the benefits of owning an AA credit card.

Those who signed up for the rewards credit card when it was launched last month may have already transferred their balance with the introductory rate of 0% with a 2.99% fee.

AA credit card holders have 90 days from the day on which they open their account to benefit from the 0% on balance transfers deal.

Also available to AA credit card holders is 0% on card purchases of motoring, fuel and AA products, available until December 2010.

However, AA notes that card holders must pay their balance in full or the card company may use payments to reduce lower-rate balances before higher-rate balances.

The standard variable rate of the card is 16.9%, which some motorists have already taken advantage of and is still available to others considering getting hold of a rewards credit card.

The AA credit card is issued by MBNA and is only available to UK residents aged 18 and over.

A rewards credit card is also available from Sainsbury's, with a rate of 15.9% APR.
